Earn an entire Bachelor of Biblical Studies — tuition-free and privately sustained — through rigorous reading of Scripture, the fathers, the reformers, and the philosophers. Admissions is open to Florida Keys residents because BCFK incorporates real discipleship, not online coursework alone.
The Program
BCFK is non-denominational precisely because it covers the entire history of Western theology, philosophy, and church history — Augustine to the Reformers, Plato to Kant. Students read seminal works in the public domain through a custom digital library and LMS, complete thousands of quiz questions, and document over 800 pages of original research in Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) citation style.
Foundations
From Augustine to the Puritans, from Plato to Kierkegaard — BCFK stands in a long conversation about God, virtue, and the life of the mind.
You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.
There is not one blade of grass, there is no color in this world that is not intended to make us rejoice.
The beginning is the most important part of the work.
Why Primary Sources
It has always therefore been one of my main endeavours as a teacher to persuade the young that firsthand knowledge is not only more worth acquiring than secondhand knowledge, but is usually much easier and more delightful to acquire.
BCFK's library focuses on seminal works and primary sources — not modern summaries. Every required and supplemental text is in the public domain, curated into a custom library built for this curriculum — accessible to enrolled students through the Student Portal.
