The college
A privately funded college for those who stay in the Keys.
Earn a tuition-free Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies — privately funded by the founder — through rigorous reading of primary texts. Or take one or two courses. Both are welcome.
Admissions is open to Florida Keys residents because BCFK incorporates real discipleship, not online coursework alone. Life in the Keys is not easy. We built the college for that.
How we teach

Language study
Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and English.
The bachelor’s includes the languages of Scripture and the church — not as electives at the edge of the catalog, but in the first four semesters, alongside theology, history, and philosophy.
Koine Greek
The idiom of the New Testament and the early church, aimed at exegesis rather than a tourist's vocabulary list.
Classical Latin
The bridge into the fathers and the medieval church — grammar first, then the texts those centuries actually wrote.
English Philology
How English works, so writing, translation, and close reading of English theological prose are done with the same care as the biblical tongues.
Start with one course
You do not have to complete the degree.
The full Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies is forty courses, including the language sequence. It is also perfectly acceptable — and encouraged — to take just one if you are drawn to the subject.
Creeds and Confessions
From the Apostles' Creed through Protestant confessions and councils — what the churches have actually confessed, not slogans about creeds.
Apologetics
Classical arguments for God's existence, the trustworthiness of Scripture, and the coherence of Christian revelation.
Hermeneutics
How to read the Bible: grammatical-historical exegesis, the analogy of faith, and the tools of textual criticism.
Spiritual Formation
Union with Christ, piety, and holy living — from à Kempis and Bunyan through Puritan devotion and evangelical duty.

The library
It has always therefore been one of my main endeavours as a teacher to persuade the young that firsthand knowledge is not only more worth acquiring than secondhand knowledge, but is usually much easier and more delightful to acquire.
Augustine, Aquinas, Calvin, and Kant are encountered firsthand. Every required text is public domain, curated for this curriculum and delivered through the Student Portal.
